We build capabilities, create opportunities, and transform lives.

The Mexican Association for the Care of People with Visual Disabilities, I.A.P. (AMADIVI) works so that people with visual disabilities can fully exercise their rights, develop their capabilities, and build autonomous, dignified, and inclusive lives.

Through education, training, accessible materials development, labor inclusion, entrepreneurship, guidance, and capacity-building programs, AMADIVI creates opportunities for people with visual disabilities to participate actively in society on equal terms.

With nearly 30 years of experience, AMADIVI works collaboratively with families, institutions, companies, civil society organizations, and national and international bodies to remove barriers, promote accessibility, and build a society where people with visual disabilities are recognized as protagonists and agents of change.

WHO WE ARE

Mission

To contribute to the full exercise of rights, autonomy, inclusion, and social participation of people with visual disabilities through programs and services that strengthen their capabilities and create opportunities in education, training, employment, entrepreneurship, accessibility, and independent living.

Since 1997, as the first association in Mexico dedicated to serving people with visual disabilities to develop the manufacture and adaptation of accessible educational materials, AMADIVI has built a history of commitment, innovation, and service to this community.

As a Private Assistance Institution in Mexico City with a national scope, we work in partnership with public and private institutions, companies, civil society organizations, national and international bodies, and people with visual disabilities themselves, always placing people at the center of our work.

Vision

To be a national, regional, and international reference institution in promoting the rights, autonomy, inclusion, and full participation of people with visual disabilities, recognized for our experience, innovation, and ability to create accessible solutions and opportunities that help transform lives.

We aspire to consolidate a society where people with visual disabilities are recognized as people with rights, capabilities, autonomy, and decision-making power, actively participating in every area of life on equal terms.

With nearly 30 years of experience, AMADIVI seeks to continue evolving, strengthening partnerships, and expanding its impact to respond to the new challenges of inclusion and help build a fairer, more accessible, and more inclusive society.
